In July of each year, the Jefferson Area Neighborhood Association awards beautiful yards and gardens in our neighborhood. Your landscape has been chosen for our 2009 annual award.
The neighborhood association is actively engaged in improvement of the neighborhood and encourages homeowners to take good care of their residences and their yards. Thank you for caring about the aesthetics of our neighborhood.
The association gives out historic preservation awards in May which relate to built structures. In July, it awards yards and gardens. Landscape detail contributes to the beauty and aesthetics of the property and to the enjoyment by the entire neighborhood.
Consideration is given to selections of plantings, appropriate scale and color, relationship of plantings to the home and the care and maintenance of the landscape.
The association encourages nominations. You can nominate yourself or anyone in the neighborhood by sending a nomination to Dawn Morgan, 1323 5th Ave S. or by emailing to janafargo@hotmail.com. Nomintaion deadline is July 11.
Remember that the boundaries of the neighborhood are Main Ave to 13th Ave S, University Drive to 25th Street.
Award winners will receive a letter and gift certificate and a photograph will be posted on our website at janafargo.org
